Terms of Service
These terms
These Terms of Service govern your use of monafurniture.ca and any order you place with Mona Furniture, online, by phone or in one of our showrooms at 1585 Victoria St N, Kitchener, ON N2B 3E6. By browsing the site or placing an order you accept these terms. Please read them together with our Privacy Policy.
Using the site
You must be the age of majority in your province to buy from us. You agree not to use the site for anything unlawful, not to interfere with its operation, and not to copy, scrape or resell its content. If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your login details private and for activity that happens under your account.
Products, colours and materials
We do our best to photograph and describe every piece accurately, but screens vary and natural materials do not repeat exactly. Wood grain, marble veining, leather markings and fabric weave differ from piece to piece, and dye lots vary between production runs. Slight differences between what you see online and what arrives are normal and are not defects.
Dimensions are approximate and given to the nearest listed unit. Please measure your space, doorways, stairwells and elevators before ordering — we are happy to help if you send us the numbers.
Showroom floor models may differ from current production. If you are buying a floor model, it is sold as displayed.
Prices, currency and taxes
Prices are shown in Canadian dollars and exclude applicable taxes, which are calculated at checkout. Prices, promotions and availability can change without notice, and a change does not apply retroactively to orders already accepted.
We try to keep pricing accurate. If a product is listed at an obviously incorrect price because of a typographical or system error, we may cancel the order and refund you in full, even after the order was confirmed.
Orders and acceptance
Your order is an offer to buy. A confirmation email acknowledges that we received it; the contract is formed when we accept the order and prepare it for delivery or pickup. We may decline or cancel an order — for example if the item is unavailable, if we cannot verify payment or delivery details, if the address is outside our service area, or if we suspect fraud or resale. If we cancel, you receive a full refund.
Stock is not reserved until an order is placed and paid for.
Payment and deposits
Orders are paid in full at checkout unless we have agreed otherwise in writing. For custom, special or large orders arranged in a showroom, a deposit may be required; the amount and the balance due date will be stated on your invoice. Orders that remain unpaid past their due date may be cancelled and the deposit applied against restocking or production costs already incurred.
Custom and special orders
Custom orders — fabric, finish, size or configuration chosen by you — are made for you after the order is confirmed. Production timelines are estimates provided by the manufacturer and can move. Once production has started, a custom order cannot be changed or cancelled, and it is not eligible for return except where the product is defective.
Delivery and assembly
We deliver and assemble across Ontario with our own team. Delivery timing is arranged with you once your order is ready; the windows we quote are estimates, and delays caused by suppliers, freight, weather or road conditions are not grounds for cancellation once production or shipping has begun.
On delivery day, please make sure:
- an adult who can accept and inspect the order is present;
- the path in is clear — hallways, stairwells, elevators, gates and parking;
- any building requirements such as elevator booking, certificates of insurance or loading-dock times have been arranged in advance;
- the room is ready and cleared for the furniture to be placed and assembled.
Our crew will not remove doors or windows, hoist items over balconies, or move or dismantle your existing furniture or fixtures. If the piece cannot be brought in because of access, or if nobody is present at the agreed time, a re-delivery fee may apply.
Delivery charges, where they apply, are shown at checkout or on your invoice before you pay.
Pickup
Pickup can be arranged from either showroom — just ask. Bring your order confirmation and photo ID, and come with a vehicle, blankets, straps and, for larger pieces, a second set of hands. Our team can help load, but items leave in the condition they are loaded and transport is at your own risk once the goods are on your vehicle.
Inspect on arrival
Please inspect your furniture when it arrives and note any damage or missing parts with the crew before they leave. Report transit damage or shortages to info@monafurniture.ca within 48 hours of delivery, with photos, so we can resolve it quickly. Claims made later are harder to attribute to transit and may not be accepted.
Returns and exchanges
If you change your mind, returns are accepted within 14 days of delivery or pickup, provided the item is in original, unused condition with its original packaging. A 20% restocking fee applies and return transport is the customer's responsibility. Refunds are issued to the original payment method once the item has been received and inspected.
Custom-order and clearance items may be final sale — please ask us before you order. Mattresses, bedding and other items that cannot be resold for hygiene reasons are not returnable once unwrapped, except where they are defective.
Items that arrive damaged or defective are handled under warranty, not under this section, and are not subject to a restocking fee.
Warranty
Every piece is covered for one year from delivery against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship. To make a claim, email info@monafurniture.ca or call +1 (437) 476-7999 with your order details and photos of the issue. At our option, we will repair the item, replace the affected part or item, or refund it.
The warranty does not cover:
- normal wear, softening of cushions and fillings, and the patina that develops on leather and wood;
- natural variation in wood, marble, leather and fabric;
- damage from misuse, accidents, pets, spills, improper cleaning products or exposure to sun, heat or damp;
- damage caused by assembly or modification not performed by our team;
- commercial or rental use;
- floor models, clearance and as-is items, which are sold in their displayed condition.
The warranty applies to the original purchaser and is not transferable. Nothing here limits the rights you have under Ontario's Consumer Protection Act, 2002 or other applicable consumer protection law.
Cancellations
You may cancel an in-stock order before it ships or is scheduled for delivery for a full refund. Once a delivery is loaded or a custom order has entered production, cancellation may not be possible, and any costs already incurred may be deducted.
Promotions and discount codes
Promotions apply only for the period stated, only to the products included, and cannot be combined with other offers unless we say so. Discount codes have no cash value, cannot be applied to a completed order, and may be withdrawn if used in a way we did not intend. Prices in effect after a promotion ends do not apply retroactively.
Reviews and content you share
If you send us a photo, review or comment — including customer photos we feature on product pages — you confirm it is yours to share and you give us permission to use it on our website, in our showrooms and on our social channels, with credit where appropriate. You can ask us to remove your content at any time. We may decline or remove content that is unlawful, misleading or offensive.

Third-party links and services
Our site links to third-party services such as payment providers, maps and social platforms. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, products or policies. Your dealings with them are between you and them.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Mona Furniture is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses arising from your use of the site or from a product, including lost time, lost profits or property damage not caused by our negligence. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the product the claim relates to. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including consumer protection legislation and liability for personal injury caused by our negligence.
Errors on the site
Occasionally the site may contain typographical errors, inaccuracies or omissions relating to product descriptions, pricing, promotions, availability or delivery times. We reserve the right to correct them and to update information at any time without prior notice.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Any dispute will be handled by the courts of Ontario, without affecting any right you have to bring a claim where you live.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version posted here when you place an order is the version that applies to that order. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
