A showroom visit is worth an hour of a Saturday only if you leave knowing something you could not have learned online. Here is how to make that happen, and what you will find when you arrive.
What is on the floor
Our Kitchener showroom carries sofas, sectionals, sofa beds, dining sets and mattresses. The point of the layout is comparison: similar pieces sit near each other so you can move between them directly rather than relying on memory from the far end of the store.
Fabric and configuration options that are not on display are available as samples. If a sofa is right in every respect except the colour, ask — the same frame is usually available in several upholsteries.
Allow about an hour
Twenty minutes is enough to confirm something you have already decided on. If you are still comparing, give it an hour. Sofa discomfort takes several minutes to reveal itself, and three sofas properly tested is most of an hour on its own.
Go in the morning if you want the place quiet, and bring whoever else will be using the furniture. Seat depth in particular is deeply personal — what suits one person's height can be wrong for another's.
What to bring
- Room measurements — the wall the piece will sit against, and the room's full dimensions.
- Access measurements — front door width, hallway turns, stairwell, elevator if you have one.
- A photo of the room — this helps more than people expect, particularly for matching tones.
- Any existing fabric or wood you need to live alongside.
Nobody works on commission
Our staff are not paid per sale, which changes the conversation. You will not be followed around the floor, and if the answer is that you should measure and come back next week, that is what you will be told. Ask direct questions about construction — frame material, foam density, what the warranty actually covers — and you will get direct answers.
Delivery and assembly
Delivery across Ontario is handled by our own team rather than a third-party courier. That means the people bringing your sofa in are the people accountable for it: they assemble it, place it where you want it, and take the packaging away. Ask about timing while you are in the showroom — stock pieces and made-to-order upholstery run to very different schedules.
